Dove’s New Captivating Ad Will Make You Reevaluate Your Definition Of Beauty

The very first memories that all of us have from our childhood involve playing in the grass all day and singing nursery rhymes to pass the time. But for most of us girls, there were always times when we wondered about how pretty or beautiful we are, which makes sense when most of our days passed by with the chants of ‘chubby cheeks, dimpled chin, rosy lips..’ echoing in the background.

Dove presents to you a new take on the age old nursery rhyme that unknowingly set beauty standards amongst us far back in our childhood. After all, how many of us truly ended up with the ‘curly hair, very fair’ beauty?

Dove takes their message to a deeper and more intimate level telling women around the world that there isn’t just one kind of beautiful. Every woman is beautiful in her own right, whether or not she matches society’s dictions for beauty, so take a look at this powerful video that changes the rhyme we all grew up listening to and chanting along.

For all the women out there, you’re beautiful, and it’s time to #ChangeTheRhyme.
