Working out is not an easy task, and especially not if you happen to be one of the girls who simply hate being physically active. If you’re not a morning person, and you don’t already work out regularly, then it’ll probably be hard for you to fall into a workout routine. But here are some tips and tricks you can use to give your health and fitness a boost without that 30 minute sweaty workout that everyone tells you to do.
1. Use commercial breaks to stretch
If you love watching T.V and are a couch potato, you can always spend your commercial breaks in action. Sing along to musical advertisements as you stretch your body to the limits.
2. Walk during long phone conversations
Whether it’s a relative or your boyfriend, use your long hours or minutes on the phone to give your body a little action, you won’t even realize it while talking!
3. Keep your body moving
Whether you’re at home or in the office or wherever, make it a habit to get up every thirty minutes and brush your body off with a little movement or a 5 minute walk.
4. Indulge in music workouts
If you can’t convince yourself to do the 30 minute workout, then practice a couple of stretches for the length of a song. As your stamina increases, increases the number of songs on your playlist!
5. Eat healthy
The major reason for gaining weight is food, not exercise. If you can limit your junk food and fat filled delectable along with cut down on your sugar then you might receive incredible results!
6. Replace your coffee and chai with green tea
It’s generally known that green tea increases your metabolism, but only if you have it at least 3-4 times a day. So it’s time to drop other drinks and walk the down the healthy line!
7. If you have a choice, pick the active option
When you have a choice to walk or drive to the grocery store, or between taking the elevator climbing the stairs, try to pick the more active option.
8. Drink lots of water
Sure drinking water is important, but if you want it to keep your body healthy and fit then drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. It would be even better if you drink your water lukewarm.
9. Stand wherever and whenever you can
Standing burns more calories than sitting down. So if you have a schedule that involves a lot of sitting, make sure you stand for a while after every 15-20 minutes or so whether it’s to talk or just chill.
10. Get in bed
You probably already knew that sex burns calories, but that it burns an equal amount as a 20 minute jog is something you should make the most of. Try out new and more adventurous positions while at the same time, burning those extra calories you ate the night before.
